Butch Walker Reinvented as Glenn: Singer, songwriter and producer Butch Walker released his tenth studio album, Butch Walker As… Glenn, this summer and it works as an ode to Elton John, Jackson Browne and Billy Joel. These two nights at the Teragram should see him pull from that, as well as his other nine records.

According to the press release, “The album Butch swapping strings for keys with the creation of the character Glenn, an aging piaoman balladeer as a tribute to his heroes: Elton John, Billy Joel, Warren Zevon and Jackson Brown. As one of the most in-demand songwriters and producers of the past 2 decades, making music for other comes naturally to Butch and on the new album he’s doing just that, writing as his alter-ego. Butch has penned choruses you can’t help but sing along to for artists ranging from Frank Turner to Taylor Swift, produced massive rock records for Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and Green Day including their 2020 release Father of All Motherfuckers which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Album Sales Chart. Butch is currently in the studio with The Wallflowers, Billy Idol, Rayland Baxter, Jewel and Morgan Kibby.”

That all sounds like it’ll make for a fascinating night at the Teragram.

Butch Walker Reinvented as Glenn: The event takes place at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 7 and Tuesday, November 8 at the Teragram Ballroom.
