On Sunday, Feb. 27, Brunch 2 Bomb is hosting an all-star event with L.A.’s new soul food restaurant Fixins Soul Kitchen, by NBA All-Star Kevin Johnson. Fixins, along with sponsors LA Live,  LA Lakers, LA Clippers, LA Kings, LA Sparks, Crypto.com Arena, AEG, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Franklin Templeton and Fiduciary Trust, is offering an elevated “family reunion” experience with festivities that include a brunch station prepared by Fixins Soul Kitchen and a Black-owned libations station featuring Uncle Nearest, Dusse, Snoop’s Indoggo, Ciroc, Bumbu and Deleon. There will also be a game lounge featuring dominos, culture tags and Jenga.

During the month of March, The Peninsula Beverly Hills will give a new take on its afternoon tea for Women’s History Month in partnership with the global girl empowerment brand, Rebel Girls. The collaboration launches on Thursday, March 3, and will be offered every Thursday-Sunday for three different seatings (11:00am, 1:30pm, and 4pm) at $125/person throughout the entire month. Each tea service will include Rebel Girls’ themed menu items and one of their bestselling volumes from the Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls book series as well as original illustrations of the women featured in their stories on display – from Ruth Bader Ginsberg to Cleopatra and Jane Austin among others. Rebel Girls is a global, multi-platform empowerment brand dedicated to helping raise the most inspired and confident global generation of girls through content, experiences, products and community.

626 Night Market Mini will bring a series of concession events featuring the Asian-fusion food market to Downtown Santa Monica for the first time. The open-air food festival will host more than two dozen culinary vendors offering different unique cuisines plus an alcohol garden for attendees 21 years and older. The 626 Night Market Mini opens this weekend, Saturday, Feb. 26 and Sunday, Feb. 27. 

Theia Los Angeles is bringing the traditional three-week-long Greek APOKRIES Carnival to Los Angeles for four days from Thursday, March 3 through Sunday, March 6. Already known for its party-like atmosphere, interactive cocktails, and contemporary Greek cuisine, two special menu items will include an Apokries appetizer (skewers) and a Greek carnival cocktail. Expect plenty of dancing and belly dancers.

KazuNori: The Original Hand Roll Bar opens a Koreatown outpost today in Chapman Plaza. The new location will exclusively introduce the Ankimo Hand Roll, made with monkfish liver, housemade miso sauce, Nozawa’s signature warm rice wrapped in crisp nori.
