A man's body was found stuffed in an unplugged refrigerator at an alleged Sun Valley grow house that was visited by cops over the weekend, according to authorities and reports.
The find was reported at 5:30 a.m. yesterday in the 11100 block of Runnymeade Street, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Mike Lopez said.
Police were looking into an alleged marijuana grow at the residence, he said. Cops reportedly had received a tip about the house and went to check it out.
ABC Eyewitness News reported that the body was found stuffed in a trash bag that was inside the fridge, which wasn't running. The body had been there several days, the station reported.
Neighbors said the stench was palpable. Luxury cars were seen coming and going from the driveway, they reported.
One neighbor told ABC Eyewitness News that 200 pot plants were pulled out of the home, too.
The man's identity wasn't immediately known.
UPDATE at 2:40 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14, 2015: Coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter told us the body belongs to 30-year-old Andranik Tadzhikyan of Van Nuys.
A man with the same name and birthdate has a record of having been jailed twice, according to county inmate information. On May 16, 2013, he was arrested for reasons unknown by LAPD Mission Division officers, the records indicate.
He was released Nov. 26, 2013, from state prison in Kern County, according to the sheriff's department.
He was arrested again March 24 of this year for reasons unknown by LAPD Van Nuys Division cops, according to the info. He was released the next day on $5,133 bail, records indicate.
