Entering Swag is like stumbling into a Paris flea market. The shelves and display tables are crammed with handbags, candles, stationery, vintage sterling silver and glassware, antique chandeliers and velvet bedspreads. But the best thing about Swag is its huge collection of La Vie Parisienne jewelry, elegant designs rendered from original molds and stampings created by French artists of the Nouveau, Deco and Modernist periods, from 1900 to 1960. Each piece is detailed by hand, following traditional artisanal methods. Many are made using old silver or 14-karat gold with a unique French process of layering precious metals over copper to bring out relief and detail. Most pieces feature colorful Swarovski crystals and enamel. The company produces more than 1,500 styles, including rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings and pendants, at its Santa Monica atelier, and Swag carries dozens of them stuffed into two large display cases (one for gold, one for silver). If you prefer jewelry that makes you feel like a Belle Epoque princess, this is your spot. 4332 Tujunga Ave., Studio City; (818) 508-9400.
