Faith and Freedom Coalition, one of America’s most established political advocacy organizations, has been defending key values through voter education and mobilization programs for over 15 years. The coalition is committed to providing socially conservative voters with a platform to learn more about voting processes and whether candidates’ positions on critical issues align with their moral compass. Faith and Freedom Coalition has become an unwavering resource for hard-working, faith-based Americans to ensure that their voices are represented in government. As political tensions rise in the US, the organization’s grassroots efforts only become more critical for safeguarding American democracy.
Faith and Freedom Coalition was founded in 2009 to fuel the growth of conservative representation locally and nationally. By its second year of operation, the organization amassed almost 60 million voter contacts for the 2010 midterm election. Faith and Freedom Coalition’s multi-state campaign contributed to the election of 63 new House members and 6 new US Senators. This event demonstrated to the organization’s members and the public that each voter’s voice matters.
Faith and Freedom Coalition deploys a number of methods to reach socially conservative voters and empower them to make an informed choice on voting day. In addition to circulating educational materials via direct mail, the organization utilizes hands-on door-to-door tactics to ensure all voters receive accurate, unbiased information. Through the radio, phone, texting, and digital platforms, Faith and Freedom Coalition educates voters to help voters understand the candidates’ positions on key issues like marriage and family, religious liberty, immigration, and education. Faith and Freedom Coalition takes an alternative approach to other politically active advocacy organizations by vowing to stay transparent. The organization doesn’t endorse candidates but instead furnishes voters with research-based content.
Faith and Freedom Coalition is well-recognized for its candidate comparisons that enable voters to identify how a candidate feels about certain issues. This removes the guesswork of voting and allows faith-based Americans to know which candidates will fight for the values they care about.
Faith and Freedom Coalition has accumulated almost one billion voter contacts since its inception. As a result, the organization has become the largest grassroots advocacy organization dedicated to helping faith-based and like-minded individuals to become effective citizens through voting.
Timothy Head, Executive Director of Faith and Freedom Coalition, notes the organization’s mission: “We believe that America’s greatness is not due to the government, but due to the character of its people. By educating and mobilizing the nation’s largest voting constituency, we hope to ensure that all faith-based individuals will be supported socially and economically by our government for generations to come.”
