The arrest of sometime 'Survivor' reality show producer Bruce Beresford-Redman in the strangulation death of his wife was “imminent,” ABC News reproted Monday. His wife's body was found Thursday near a hotel where the couple had been vacationing.

Spanish-language news agency abc.es reports that some of Monica Beresford-Redman's family members want her body transported to the United States in order for U.S. experts to conducted an autopsy. Reports out of Mexico indicate she was strangled and sustained blows to the head.

Over the weekend Beresford-Redman reportedly hired prominent Mexican attorney Eduardo Amerena.

The producer had traveled back the United States to drop off the couple's young boys before reporting his wife missing last week.

Monica Beresford-Redman co-owns Palms Brazilian eatery and bar Zabumba, where there was a candlelight vigil for her over the weekend.
