A teen mom was arrested after L.A. County sheriff's deputies said they had to rescue her 2-week-old infant girl and one-year-old baby boy from the backseat of her 110-degree, black car.

The children were “hot and moist to the touch” and were taken to a hospital by paramedics, according to a sheriff's statement: Cops' estimated they had been inside the Honda Civic, as the mother allegedly left them to go shopping, for at least for 20 minutes:

City News Service reported that the two were taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Lynwood and appeared to be okay.

The suspect was ID'd by sheriff's officials as 18-year-old Arely Amaya. According to the department, she “did not seem upset when she came back to her car.”

The window was partially cracked. I stuck my arm in, unlocked the car, and pulled the children out.
