An 84-year-old man found dead in his home in El Sereno September 1 has been identified as Alois Nihswohl. Nihswohl died from blunt force trauma, according to a report by the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Authorities found Nihswohl's body around 10:45 a.m. at 3716 Collis Avenue and also discovered that his home was ransacked, said Richard French of LAPD Media Relations. Detectives are trying to determine if the robbery was connected to Nihswohl's death.
