Reclaiming Lost Revenue: Sally Ragab’s Mission to Fix Healthcare Systems

As the Founder and CEO of Neunetix, Sally Ragab is hoping to tackle one of the most overlooked problems in U.S. healthcare. Often, new clinical technology can overshadow the administrative realities of running a medical facility. However, insurance claim denials can cause medical facilities to lose tons of money without notice. So, she built a company that focuses on the unglamorous but critical work of healthcare revenue cycle management and denial recovery. She hopes to help specialty providers get paid fairly and on time so they can focus on patients, not paperwork.

Sally stands out as an immigrant founder who utilizes AI-powered denial recovery to ensure that medical institutions can continue to help people. Despite her technical prowess, her journey began far from Silicon Valley.

From Egypt to the U.S.: A Healthtech Systems Builder

Sally grew up in Egypt in a family that valued education. She eventually earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting, and everything seemed to be on track to follow a traditional path. Yet, she noticed that in every role, she was drawn to the mechanics of systems. She was fascinated by understanding why organizations ran smoothly, why they broke, and how even minor operational failures could have massive consequences.

When she moved to the United States to pursue an MBA, that systems knowledge met the realities of U.S. healthcare. She entered product management and later joined a healthtech company to assist patients with financing their care. There, she witnessed the same problem over and over again. Specialty providers were actually losing a significant amount of revenue, not because of patients, but due to denied medical claims, missing documentation, and inconsistent billing.

It wasn’t a small issue either. Sometimes, it would be the sole determinant of whether practices could expand, hire staff, or stay in business. She knew she wanted to do something to help.

Creating Neunetix: Turning Denials Into an Advantage

Without funding or a technical co-founder, Sally launched Neunetix after doing all of the work herself. She sat inside billing offices, reviewing denials line by line, learning payer rules, and rebuilding those broken workflows from the ground up. Her ambition and new insight became the foundation for the company’s AI network.

Today, Neunetix provides RCM services for specialty clinics, including:

  • Denial management and denial recovery
  • Healthcare claims automation
  • Specialty practice revenue optimization

Her frameworks turn the traditionally manual, error-ridden revenue cycle operations into efficient, data-informed systems. Clinics that once had to rely on spreadsheets and one-by-one follow-ups can now use automation to have more positive outcomes.

That combination of leadership and technical insight has also earned her a place in the Forbes Business Council, where she publishes articles on denial management and the future of revenue cycle technology. Sally’s efforts have made her a valued voice in this overlooked sector.

Building a “Claims Brain” for Specialty Providers

In the future, Sally Ragab envisions Neunetix becoming a central intelligence layer that facilitates how clinics get paid. AI-driven platforms will make having denied and underpaid claims the exception rather than the rule, allowing practices to help patients and thrive.

Beyond her company, she hopes to mentor other immigrant women and founders who are also tackling impactful problems. Her work is proof that even the least expected to change the world are sometimes the ones who can do it best. Through determination, empathy, and rigor, she’s helping specialty clinics reclaim financial stability and focus on what matters the most: caring for patients.
