In early June, the Museum of Broken Relationships opened its doors on Hollywood Boulevard, a melancholy monument to the trappings of people's failed romantic exploits. From the mundane (coffee mugs, a wooden spoon) to the intimate (a fistful of someone's pubic hair), the museum's inaugural collection features 104 objects along with their corresponding narratives, written by the lovelorn people who submitted them.
