BLXST returns with “Labor of Love,” his first full BLXST returns with “Labor of Love,” his first fully self-produced album and one rooted in family, vulnerability and growth. The LA artist reflects on reconnecting with his purpose through fatherhood, honoring the home his grandfather built, carrying the torch for the West Coast, and why slowing down helped shape the most personal project of his career. “I just feel real proud of this body of work, knowing that it comes from an authentic place,” he says. “I think it’s going to stand the test of time. SoCal's growing MENA cultural scene reached a new SoCal's growing MENA cultural scene reached a new milestone as the inaugural OC MENA Festival welcomed more than 24,000 attendees to the OC Fairgrounds for a weekend of music, comedy, cuisine and art celebrating the Middle Eastern and North African diaspora, June 19-21. Featuring artists including Mohammed Assaf, Dystinct, Tul8te, Issam Alnajjar, Anees, MC Abdul and Dana Salah, attendees praised the organizers for delivering on the promise of a massive, inclusive MENA cultural celebration.
