Apparently Abraham Lincoln wasn't so honest after all. His mother died when he was 9, not from dropsy or glove paralysis or “milk sickness” but instead from the bite of a damned Redbird vampire — after which he swore vengeance, devoting most of his life to hunting down bloodsuckers and sending them back to the hell from whence they came. Wait — vampires? I meant Democrats. In the interest of clarifying the historical record, author Seth Grahame-Smith presents and signs Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Grahame-Smith, the man behind Price and Prejudice and Zombies, the hitherto untold story of Jane Austen's battle against the teeming undead and/or unseemly hormones, delves deep into the Secret Journal of Abraham Lincoln and finds precious little about trifles like slavery but much about the struggle that ultimately gave Lincoln the nickname “The Illinois Heart-Staker.”
