6LACK Releases Homicide: Groundbreaking 6LACK has released two new singles simultaneously: “Homicide” (featuring Jessie Reyes) and “Mean It.” Both are great, though we’re making “Homicide” our Track of the Week.

“‘Homicide’ sees both 6LACK and singer / songwriter Jessie Reyez coming together after many years of friendship and deep admiration for one another,” reads the press release. “Here, the two artists breathe life into the complexities of intense love, infatuation, and the synergy of the two, painting a portrait of a fatal tango between two lovers. The strong, years-long bond between the two artists is almost palpable through the track, as it tastefully bridges their equally-compelling vocals together.”

The song seems to have 6LACK explaining that he can’t be out there cheating on his significant other, because she will get even.

“She put some sugar in my tank, come up to my job, probably key my car,” he croons, regretfully.

“Pronounced ‘Black, the three-time GRAMMY-nominated and multi-platinum selling artist has brilliantly captured a voice of a generation through his dynamic art for years now,” reads the release. “Born and raised in Zone 6 of Atlanta, 6LACK exploded onto the scene with his breakout debut FREE 6LACK album in 2016, cementing his insatiable, singular sound. He was later catapulted into stardom in 2018 with the arrival of his critically acclaimed album, East Atlanta Love Letter, which hit No. 1 on the Top R&B Albums and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.”

6LACK Releases Homicide: 6LACK’S “Homicide” and “Mean It” singles are out now.
