For almost 20 years, Gino Angelini has been one of L.A.'s most respected Italian chefs. At his own restaurant, Angelini Osteria, he's been turning out both traditional and more creative Italian dishes since 2001. This year, he also became chef at RivaBella, a gleaming fine dining Italian spot smack in the mid of Hollywood. So what does this chef like to eat when he's not cooking? “I like to get the mussels and fries. And the sommelier is great, we talk wine.”
“I go for the oysters. The salads are always good too, and the lobster roll.”
“This is a great place to go in the afternoon, for a cheese plate and perhaps a little wine.”
“I can walk or bike here from my house. I like to go for breakfast. I get the cafe macchiato and maybe an apple strudel.”
“We used to go here every Sunday, but now with work it's a little more difficult. I would get the Shanghai lobster with curry sauce and crispy spinach.”
