Fatal Two-Vehicle Fiery Crash on Pacific Coast Highway near Point Mugu Rock

VENTURA COUNTY, CA (November 17, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, five people died following a fiery crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

The incident happened on November 6th shortly before 4:30 a.m. just north of Point Mugu Rock involving two vehicles.

An initial investigation stated that one vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with another vehicle.

Firefighters and emergency responders arrived at the scene and found both vehicles in flames.

Furthermore, at least 5 people were pronounced dead at the scene, including a male driver and four occupants of an SUV.

Meanwhile, both lanes were blocked during the length of the investigation and were reopened just before 4:00 a.m.

Motorists were diverted to 101 Freeway at the time of the collision. Moreover, the events leading up to the crash are still under investigation.
