The LAPD announced Thursday that five people have been arrested in relation to the murder of rapper Bashar Jackson, better known as Pop Smoke. Detectives arrested three adult males and two minors, saying that further details would be given as they come.
The 20-year-old New York rapper was reportedly shot and killed in a February 19 home invasion robbery, as at least four men were captured by surveillance footage entering the rented Hollywood Hills home, according to TMZ.
While officers detained people at the house during the incident, no arrests were made.
On the day of the incident, a friend of Pop Smoke had posted multiple photos on Instagram showing the address of the home they were staying in.
