A 200-pound, 5-foot, 10-inch man took a brand new bike from an 11-year-old, Los Angeles Sheriff's Department officials say.

The wheels of justice, however, are out to get the suspect: There's a pretty clear photo of a suspect (above) being circulated by authorities.

The strong-arm robbery happened at 12:29 p.m. on Halloween at Ted Watkins Memorial Park at 1335 E. 103rd St. in an unincorporated area near Watts, according to a recently released sheriff's statement.

The kid had just won the bike at a Halloween celebration when the man moved in, deputies said. According to their statement:

The suspect approached the young boy and allegedly forcefully pulled the bicycle from his grasp. The suspect then placed a small female child onto the handlebars and rode the bicycle away. Although the young boy and his mother chased after the suspect, they were unable to catch him.

The bike was described as a beach cruiser with a black frame, green wheels and a white seat.

Not only do we have a photo of a suspect but cops are pointing out a distinctive, possibly identifying feature: “STL” St. Louis–style tattoos on his left forearm and on his neck.

The suspect is believed to be a Latino man in his early to mid-30s, deputies said. If you know who it is, drop a dime: 213-216-7675. Make a kid's day.
