A 1-year-old boy died after he and his father were shot in Watts last night, cops told the Los Angeles Times.
The attack happened about 7:49 p.m. Monday in the 10500 block of Hickory Street, police told City News Service.
That's only a block from the street that gives the notorious Grape Street Crips gang it's name:
The Times reported that the suspect, on a bike, is black, and the victims are Latino: Authorities say there have been black-versus-Latino gang conflicts in the area.
The father, said by City News to be 24, was stabilized at a hospital, according to the paper: He had been cradling the boy in his arms during the shooting.
The suspect was described as a 15- to 17-year-old boy, police told CNS. He was still on the loose.
