One Killed, Three Injured in Bus Collision near Del Valle Street
DEL VALLE, TX (December 27, 2023) – One victim died Monday morning in a bus accident on westbound State Highway 71.
The crash took place shortly before 9:30 a.m. on December 11th, in the westbound lanes near Del Valle Street.
An investigation is underway to understand the reasons behind a vehicle colliding with a CapMetro bus, resulting in minor to serious injuries for at least six individuals upon impact.
Emergency responders from Austin-Travis County EMS conveyed two individuals to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center and two others to Dell Seton Medical Center. Meanwhile, two injured individuals opted not to go to the hospital. One person succumbed to their injuries at the hospital due to the severity of their condition.
Presently, an active investigation is ongoing to uncover additional details surrounding the incident.
