Minor Hospitalized after Pedestrian Crash near Hinebaugh Creek

ROHNERT PARK, CA (May 13, 2024)Angel Antonio Martinez was arrested Friday morning and a minor was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Snyder Lane.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m., near Hinebaugh Creek and Rancho Cotate High School.

According to reports, a white Ford Mustang traveling north struck a minor who was walking in the area. The driver of the Mustang fled the scene without offering assistance to the victim.

Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators stated that the young boy was riding a scooter at the time of the incident.

Authorities located and arrested the driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Angel Antonio Martinez from Cotati, on charges of felony hit-and-run and violating probation.
