Ziggy Marley and the Wailing Souls: By now, surely, Ziggy Marley has stepped out of his dad’s shadow. Sure, he has the rare distinction of being the second most famous Marley and the second most famous Ziggy (after Stardust), but eight Grammys is a rare accomplishment for anyone.
He led family band the Melody Makers with distinction for years, but now he’s concentrating on his solo work. Rebellion Rises dropped in 2018, but there’s surely more to come. In the meantime, he’s performing alongside Jamaican reggae band the Wailing Souls at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday. Be prepared to dance and sway.
