Female Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision on Interstate 30

ARLINGTON, TX (December 28, 2023) – One woman died early Friday morning in a pedestrian collision on North Fielder Road.

Emergency responders arrived at the location just before 4:30 a.m. on December 15th, near Interstate 30. Upon reaching the scene, troopers discovered that a woman sitting on the highway had been struck by multiple vehicles.

Investigators attribute the incident to poor visibility, making it difficult for drivers to avoid the woman.

The drivers involved in the incident stayed at the scene and fully cooperated with the ongoing investigation. Due to the severity of the injuries sustained, medics pronounced the female pedestrian deceased at the scene.

As part of cleanup and initial duties, troopers temporarily closed all eastbound lanes of I-30 and North Fielder Road near Lamar High School. Authorities have confirmed that the drivers will not be facing any criminal charges in connection to the incident.

Presently, an active investigation is underway to gather additional information. More details will be provided as they become available.

Sincere sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased. Thoughts are with them during this very difficult time.
