Two Pronounced Dead after Four-Vehicle Collision near Farm-to-Market Road 907

EDINBURG, TX (April 30, 2024)Sergio Delgado and Jeremy Hess died Tuesday morning in a multi-car crash on Texas and Farm-to-Market Road. The incident occurred at approximately 9:50 a.m., on April 23rd. Investigators found that Hess was driving a red Ford Escape eastbound on Texas Road and neglected to stop at a stop sign. Consequently, the Ford collided with a red Nissan Versa, operated by Delgado, traveling south on FM 907. The impact pushed the Nissan into a northbound brown Cadillac SRX, propelling it into the southeast corner and causing it to ignite. Simultaneously, the Ford collided with a power pole and a nearby Ford Ecoline van, causing Hess to be thrown onto the road. Emergency responders declared Delgado, aged 29, deceased at the accident site. Medical personnel transported Hess, aged 43, and the Cadillac driver to a nearby hospital for further medical attention. Despite attempts to save him, Hess was later pronounced dead by paramedics. Authorities have not provided additional updates, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
