Motorcyclist Fatally Struck in Accident near East Sunset Road

LAS VEGAS, NV (February 20, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, police responded to a collision on North Green Valley Parkway and East Sunset Road.

As reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision occurred on February 8th around 3:00 p.m., involving a motorcyclist and a gold Toyota sedan.

Troopers determined that the rider was traveling eastbound on Sunset Road, while the Toyota was heading westbound.

The Toyota failed to yield the right-of-way to the rider and turned in front of the motorcycle for reasons unknown. The 54-year-old rider suffered life-threatening injuries, and paramedics promptly transported him to the hospital.

Tragically, shortly after sustaining injuries, the rider succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The Clark County Coroner’s Office has withheld his identity, and his next of kin has been notified.

Meanwhile, no word was released if the driver faced any charges, and an active investigation is currently underway.
