Mark StefanosLos Angeles is once again the center of the basketball universe as the NBA returns for a record seventh All-Star celebration. It’s already been a full week of activities that have blended NBA star power with the city’s vibrant culture, all culminating in a series of headline events this weekend.
“Our goal was to create as many opportunities to engage our fans, both locally here in LA, but also around the world,” Kelly Flatow, EVP of Global Events at NBA, tells LA Weekly.
The setup is tailor-made for LA’s sprawl and its two proud NBA franchises. Events will bounce between the new state-of-the-art Intuit Dome — home of the Clippers and future Olympic basketball venue in 2028 — and the nearby Kia Forum, Cosm and YouTube Theater.

The LA Convention Center is the grounds for NBA Crossover, the fan center for All-Star, featuring concerts, photo-ops, meet and greets, watch parties, merch and more — it started yesterday and runs through Sunday, pretty much all day. Additional pop-ups can be found around the city, at Venice Beach and beyond.

NBA All-Star Game, Sunday, Feb. 15, Intuit Dome
Perhaps the biggest headline for 2026 is the redesigned NBA All-Star Game itself. No longer a single East-versus-West showcase, the 75th All-Star Game will feature three teams — two U.S. squads (called “Stars” and “Stripes”) and a Team World — competing in a round-robin tournament of four 12-minute games at the Intuit Dome. The top two teams advance to a championship finale, with wall-to-wall action and entertainment in between.

“It’s a little bit of a nod to what’s happening at the Olympics,” says Flatow. “We are playing at Intuit Dome, which will also be the home of Olympic basketball in 2028. So a bit of a road to LA 2028 as well.”
Lakers superstar Luka Dončić earned a starting nod on the World Team, while LeBron James makes his 22nd All-Star appearance as a reserve, alongside LA Clipper Kawhi Leonard in his seventh All-Star selection, for USA Stripes. See the full roster here.
NBA Crossover: all weekend at LA Convention Center
At the heart of the fan experience is NBA Crossover, a massive takeover at the Los Angeles Convention Center from Feb. 12–15. “Crossover is going to be 300,000 square feet of wall-to-wall basketball, music, fashion, technology,” Flatow said.
New this year: an NBA Creator Court with viral stars showing off skills, a festival-style Hardwood Central with food trucks and games, and a sprawling merch village.
Music takes center stage too, with performances included in Crossover tickets. Thursday night kicked off with K-pop group CORTIS. Ludacris performs tonight (Friday) and Shaboozey on Saturday. Sunday brings Beats & Brunch with DJ Pauly D.

Saturday, Feb. 14: All-Star Saturday Night at Intuit Dome, 2 p.m. PT on NBC/Peacock
The contests will return on Saturday with 3-Point, Shooting, and Slam Dunk, where LA Laker Jaxson Hayes will get his dunk on. See the full roster here.

Citywide Celebrations and Global Reach
True to LA’s spirit, the fun spills into the streets. Fans can hunt for “Three Rocks” — giant basketball art installations popping up around town — hit a major takeover at The Grove, or head to Venice Beach for AT&T’s courtside activations and All-Star Hollywood stars on the boardwalk. The NBA Events app turns the city into an augmented-reality scavenger hunt with golden basketballs that unlock rewards, tickets, and more.

That global vibe is stronger than ever. Fans are expected from all 50 states and at least 44 countries. NBC’s coverage ties directly into its Olympic programming, shifting the All-Star Game to a 2 p.m. PT tip on Sunday for a seamless lead-in.
“This is the one event of the year where we bring all of our stakeholders from around the world,” Flatow added. “The NBA family gathers and it truly is a global celebration of the game.”
Brand Activations
Of course, All-Star Weekend wouldn’t be complete without the parties and brand activations.
New Balance Basketball is hosting a court activation at Lafayette Park on Saturday and Sunday, both at Lafayette Park, 625 S. Lafayette Park Pl.

Saturday: Court Activation with New Balance Athletes
- A full day of basketball and community. From clinics with New Balance athletes to tournaments hosted by LA hoops collective Veniceball, the day will feature open runs, a dunk showcase, live music from local DJs, and food from local businesses — all celebrating the city and the game
- Time: 10:30 AM – 6 PM
- 10:30 AM – Girls Clinic with Haylen Ayers and Cam Brink.
Sunday: Klutch Athletics Court Activation and Community Conversations
- Community conversations focused on mentoring and inspiring next generation of basketball talent and creating spaces and opportunity for female talent in the entertainment and sport industries.
- Come join us for live basketball, open runs, tournaments, music, food, and community gatherings throughout the day.
