The making of Phoebe von Satis
As an adolescent and into young adulthood, Phoebe von Satis frequently visited Manhattan’s famous landmarks, art, and theatre culture. “When I was a teenager, I went into the city every chance I got,” she says. “I spent hours in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Its vast collection was my sanctuary — it became my second home.”
Reminiscing on these formative years, von Satis resonates with Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker and AnnaSophia Robb in “Sex and the City” and “The Carrie Diaries.”
“In both series and even the films, Manhattan made Carrie Bradshaw feel at home and feel a place of belonging,” says Von Satis. That is precisely what Manhattan was for me until I discovered Beverly Hills and Malibu, California — my new playgrounds.”
Plumeria Ivy Aesthetic(s): One-of-a-kind mobile beauty salon
Von Satis appreciates the opportunities she’s had to immerse herself in the thrill and dynamic energy of New York City. She began her career as a certified personal trainer and transitioned into the beauty industry in 2010 after becoming a licensed cosmetologist.
Von Satis is a licensed California State cosmetologist, primarily serving clients in Holmby Hills, Bel Air, and areas within a 10 to 15-mile radius of Beverly Hills. “You go to the salon when you want to be somebody. You have the salon come to you when you are somebody,” she states.
“I frequently take on the ‘unofficial therapist’ role, dedicating numerous hours to connecting with clients on a personal level and learning about their challenges and successes,” von Satis adds.
Treatments provided in the comfort of your home include but are not limited to the Brazilian Blowout, keratin smoothing, single-process coloring, glamour makeup applications, body waxing with hard wax, ultrasound cavitation as a non-invasive alternative to liposuction for body sculpting, and radio-frequency skin tightening.

Von Satis earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Full Sail University and is a screenwriter, having received awards for her feature-length and short screenplays.
“If you are curious about my favorite, every screenplay holds a unique place in my heart,” says Von Satis. “Every award I’ve received and every achievement I’ve attained carries a special significance for me, much like how each child is unique and irreplaceable. I have invested my passion, creativity, and commitment into every project I have worked on, each of which has played a role in my personal and professional development.”
Von Satis is most drawn to the genres of drama, fantasy, science fiction, and horror. Some of her acclaimed works include:
- “The Hallmark Couple”: A wealthy pair who spent years exploiting young girls has finally been held accountable.
- “Only in Malibu”: When their friend is killed by her affluent lover, what else could go wrong for a group of characters who appear to have everything and believe wealth guarantees happiness?
- “Gold, Glory & Nobility”: Four adventurers embark on a perilous quest across three kingdoms, seeking rare artifacts and riches, only to discover treasures beyond the material.
- “Malibu Madam”: With a tattered diary and relentless ambition, a young woman turns 1960s Malibu into her domain by managing an exclusive escort service, Elysian Escapes.
- “The Mint”: Victoria is granted an opportunity most of us can only imagine — a chance to journey back in time. However, despite her good intentions, her actions harm both herself and her loved ones.
- “Split Endz”: After enduring WWII, a young woman escapes the horrors of war only to face a life of emotional and physical confinement, compelling her to become her savior.
- “The Wood Ranch Country Club”: In 1950s Beverly Hills, Bernice, a self-conscious young woman, steps out of her cousin’s shadow with a bold new haircut. However, what starts as a path to self-discovery soon spirals into a tense clash of egos, revealing the fine line between friendship and rivalry in a society fixated on appearances.
- “K Bender (The Bloody Benders)”: In the late 19th century, the Benders initially seemed like a typical homesteading family living in rural Kansas. Kate collects corn ears as her brother, John Jr., splits wood. In the cellar, however, their parents, Elvira and John Sr. are far from ordinary. While Elvira searches through the victim’s bag, John Sr. dismembers the corpse. They’re exceptional.
- “Adelaide’s Magic Sunglasses”: A young woman is surprised when her new sunglasses render her invisible.
- “The Insomnia Experiment”: Nazi prisoners of war are compelled to participate in a sleep deprivation study that ultimately leads to their death.
- “Hummel”: A wealthy personal trainer searches for love on a new dating app and crosses paths with a seemingly perfect, accomplished lawyer. Confronted with numerous indications of his dishonesty, she realizes she must take charge of her future and move forward.

“My passion for screenwriting and the stories I developed led me to transform my scripts into short stories and novellas,” Von Satis adds. “My short scripts — ‘The Mint,’ ‘Split Endz,’ ‘Hummel,’ ‘K Bender (The Bloody Benders),’ ‘The Wood Ranch Country Club,’ ‘Adelaide’s Magic Sunglasses,’ and ‘Insomnia Experiment’ — have now been transformed into short stories. ‘Malibu Madam,’ ‘Only in Malibu,’ and ‘Gold, Glory & Nobility’ are novellas.”
Lilith Ivy von Satis: Children’s Author
After completing these short stories and novellas, Von Satis decided to venture into writing children’s books. To differentiate between her works for children and adults, she uses the pseudonym “Lilith Ivy von Satis” for her children’s books. “The titles are ‘Plumeria and Her Lost Green Knit Doll,’ ‘Tubs Loves Pats,’ ‘Plumeria Has a Tea Party with Friends,’ and ‘Plumeria Aesthetics.’ Children would enjoy reading about Plumeria and Friends because it revolves around Plumeria, the sphynx cat, and a diverse group of animal friends.
Charities/Volunteer/Hobbies
If Von Satis is not writing or at her beauty business, she volunteers at a local animal shelter. Phoebe loves animals and hopes to clear all animal shelters. In her spare time, she is either at a botanical garden, at a beach, or traveling.
