43-Year-Old Woman Died in Car Crash Near East of Graham

GRAHAM, TX (October 23, 2023) – Kerri Forbus tragically died Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident on US Highway 380.

The accident happened just before 1:00 p.m. on October 7th, at US Highway 380, just 6 miles East of Graham.

According to the DPS report, a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox going west failed to stay in a single lane, colliding with a 2011 Ford F150 carrying a 2019 handmade trailer.

As a result, the Chevrolet driver, 43-year-old Kerri Forbus died at the scene, while medics took both Ford’s driver and passenger to Graham Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police later identified the Ford driver and passenger s 69-year-old Steven William and 60-year-old Marian Scott.

In addition, police stated that Forbus was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, while both William and Scott were.

Additionally, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. The Highway has since been reopened.

At this time, the exact details of the cause and circumstances leading up to the fatal crash are under investigation.
