Fusing Latin Culture With Commercial Dance

Cesar is a native of Mexico City, Mexico, who moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a dance career. He arrived in the city with the purpose to not only achieve success for himself, but for others from his background.

“I wanted to change the LA dance industry to be more Latino inclusive, so I made a commitment to be a leader in shaping opportunities for other dancers,” Cesar says.

As one of the top three Reggaeton choreographers in the United States, Cesar has been instrumental in bringing Latin culture to top dance studies. He has gained recognition for the integration of Latin dance styles into mainstream, commercial dance. Due to his success and influence, he has taught dance at the renowned dance studios Millennium Dance Complex LA, Movement Lifestyle, and T Milly Studio.

An established leader in the dance industry, Cesar often works as a dancer and choreographer for Latin musical genres and international music artists, especially the Reggaeton genre. Because of his hard work and influence as a choreographer, Reggaeton is now acknowledged as a commercial dance style.

Cesar was the choreographer for Thalia’s Concierto de Campeones performance at the YouTube Theater, which was LIVE on Univision. He has also choreographed performances for Ryan Castro and Rich The Kid. One major accomplishment was when Cesar choreographed Amazon Music’s The Future is Ours performance that was livestreamed in Times Square in New York City.
