15-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Crash near Skyline Avenue

BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 4, 2024) Jacob Gonzalez died Tuesday night in a bicycle accident on River Road and Skyline Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m.

Police determined that the driver of a vehicle collided with two teenagers who were riding a makeshift gas-powered mini-bicycle. However, additional details about the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. Emergency medical responders took the two teenagers to Kern Medical for the treatment of significant injuries.

On Wednesday, one of the teenagers, identified as 15-year-old Jacob Gonzalez, succumbed to his injuries.
