Moving to Los Angeles to pursue dance professionally must have been a big leap. What motivated you to make that decision?

Growing up in Montreal allowed me to train in dance while finding my love for the craft. Montreal has some great training opportunities and many amazing dancers, but as a professional industry can be limited. Although I had a few opportunities within my community to perform and begin my professional career, I quickly realized that if I truly wanted to pursue my dreams of dancing on the biggest stages next to the best artists and dancers in the world, Hollywood was where I needed to be.

What has been the most memorable moment of your collaborations with top artists like Meghan Trainor, Bebe Rexha, and Ava Max?

Working with artists like Meghan Trainor, Bebe Rexha and Ava Max has allowed me to live out my ultimate pop star dreams! Dance has always allowed me to express the different facets of myself, and standing behind strong female artists like these, has given me the opportunity to represent female empowerment in such a beautiful way. These women represent embracing your femininity through strength, courage, and truly accepting who you are- and what a wonderful feeling it is to help them represent that message, inspiring young people across the globe.

You’ve performed on some of the world’s biggest stages. Is there one performance that stands out as a career highlight?

It’s difficult to choose only one moment as a career highlight but I will name a few that stick out.

Booking my first job in LA was quite a memorable moment for me. The journey hadn’t been easy up until then, and I’d experienced many ‘no’s’ at auditions, and difficult times financially before booking that first job. I knew I had to train hard to compete with top dancers from around the world coming to LA, so I pushed through, even when it was tough. When I finally booked that first job, it truly made everything worth it. Not only was it ‘a job’ but one that took me across the world to places like Dubai, Indonesia and Australia, and brought me recurring work for almost 2 years!

Performing in my hometown of Montreal, at the arena where I’d watched many shows as a spectator, was a true highlight. I was dancing with Bebe Rexha opening for the Jonas Brothers on their ‘Happiness Begins Tour’ and had many of my friends and family in the audience-what a special feeling!

Another major career highlight was a series of roles that together created an incredibly memorable period in my life. Booking tours with Ava Max and then The Weeknd and being able to do both back-to-back for over two years, has been a dream come true. Stability is something difficult to find as an artist, and I feel extremely proud that these 2 tours have continuously asked me back and that they miraculously have not conflicted schedules, allowing me to live out my tour dancer dreams!

How do you see the future of dance evolving, and what role do you hope to play in inspiring the next generation of performers?

Dance has become a bigger part of performances, music videos, tours, and award shows lately. It’s not just the usual artists like Beyoncé and Chris Brown anymore—now, artists across genres are bringing back full-out dancing, reminiscent of icons like Janet Jackson and Britney Spears. I hope this trend is here to stay and that we continue to use this art form to enhance many more performances to come!

Along with this rise in dance, artists are putting in as much work on their dance skills as they do on their vocals. While this is amazing to witness, I hope dancers still take their own training seriously. Social media’s rise has fueled new dance crazes, but it sometimes gives younger dancers the impression that some casual moves in front of a phone camera is enough to be considered a successful training/professional dancer. Growing up, we trained because it made us better, not just to earn likes or followers. Social media has opened doors for dancers, letting them showcase their talent to wider audiences. But we do need to be careful not to mistake viral moments for easy success, like social media can sometimes imply.

I hope to keep sharing my story and inspire young dancers to follow their dreams with patience, hard work, resilience, and authenticity. It’s not about rushing from point A to B; it’s about the journey, the challenges, the people you meet, and the lessons you learn along the way just as much as about the rewards. Those are what you’ll remember most.

Thank you, Randi, we are waiting for your next performance in Los Angeles!
