Exploring how art and design education can address issues of diversity, equity and inclusion.
ArtCenter and its students have long been unafraid to tackle complex challenges. And many of our alumni continue this journey after graduation. Whether they’re elucidating the scientific endeavors of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, working to reduce the amount of plastic getting into our oceans, or bringing dignity to residents experiencing homelessness in downtown L.A.’s Skid Row, our alumni bring a sense of fearlessness and innovation wherever they go.
In keeping with this spirit, ArtCenter will host a series of public events to celebrate the college’s 90th anniversary in 2020 designed to explore how art and design can create change when it comes to some of the most critical issues of our time: diversity, equity and inclusion; disability rights and universal design; and climate change and sustainability.
Our first symposium will address diversity, equity and inclusion. We invite you to join us for an evening of thought-provoking panel discussions, student presentations and a special keynote address. Reception immediately following.
This event is free and open to the public.
