In a social media landscape dominated by filters and flawless edits, Dutch supermodel Vera Dijkmans is building her empire on something else entirely — authenticity.

With more than 6 million Instagram followers and an estimated career worth $15 million, the 28-year-old has become proof that being real can be just as magnetic as projecting perfection.

“I never chased fame. I just posted what felt real, and the fact that millions connect with that will always amaze me,” Dijkmans told LA Weekly

Her journey began in 2013 in The Hague, where she started sharing casual snapshots of her style and daily life. Over the years, those posts evolved into a brand that caught the attention of fashion giants such as Zara, Boohoo, PrettyLittleThing, and H&M.

“Working with brands like Zara and Boohoo is exciting, but only when the collaboration feels true to my style and values,” she said.

Social media analyst William Lee describes her as “a remarkable figure in the world of social media, known for her creativity, authenticity, and ability to inspire.”

Rather than promoting an unattainable ideal, Dijkmans offers followers a more relatable vision of beauty — one built on confidence and individuality.

“Beauty isn’t a perfect image — it’s confidence, it’s honesty, it’s walking into a room fully yourself,” she said.

Her approach blends professional photography with personal moments, creating content that feels polished yet approachable. “I started with casual Instagram posts, and now I get to show the world that authenticity can be just as powerful as a high-budget campaign,” she said.

Despite her massive following and the “hottest model on the Internet” label, Dijkmans insists her appeal runs deeper than looks. “At 28, I want my career to be proof that being yourself is enough to inspire and influence on a global scale,” she said.

Her personal life often draws as much attention as her brand work. In a lighthearted disclosure, Dijkmans revealed she’s received more than 5,000 applications from men hoping to be her boyfriend. “I want the princess treatment because that is what I deserve,” she said

Though flattered, she’s put the search on pause. “I’m not going to lie, it felt amazing to have so many men apply to be my boyfriend. At the moment, I’ve put the boyfriend search on hold, but I’m keeping my options open,” she said.

Her dating standards are clear — and she encourages other women to adopt the same mindset. “Women need to have more respect for themselves and set clear boundaries with men,” she said.

For Dijkmans, that means no last-minute “come over” texts and no dates without genuine planning. “The first date should be something meaningful like dinner or a shared activity,” she said. “He should bring you a gift, too.”

From Louis Vuitton to Hermès, she’s received more than a few. But for Dijkmans, the real luxury is staying true to herself — online and off.
