Pickup vs Car Collision near Orcutt Road Left Two Hospitalized

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (March 5, 2024) – Friday morning, a two-vehicle crash on Broad Street left at least two people trapped in their vehicle. 

Authorities were alerted to the crash at approximately 10:30 a.m. near Broad Street and Orcutt Road.

As per the account, a collision occurred between a Mini Cooper and a Dodge Ram pickup truck.

According to investigators, one of the vehicles lost control on the wet road, resulting in a collision with an oncoming vehicle.

Firefighters promptly arrived at the scene and utilized the Jaws of Life to extricate both the driver and passenger from the Mini Cooper.

The injured individuals were then transported to a nearby hospital for the treatment of minor injuries. It remains unclear if the driver of the Dodge Ram sustained any injuries in the incident.

As of now, the identities of those involved in the collision have not been disclosed. A section of the roadway was temporarily closed to facilitate preliminary duties.
