System of a Down is bringing the world of Toxicity back to Los Angeles with a weeklong exhibition marking the landmark album’s 25th anniversary. Opening Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Beyond the Streets gallery, the free exhibition will feature rare memorabilia, immersive installations, archival materials and exclusive merchandise celebrating one of the band’s most influential releases. Dedicated fans were already lined up outside the gallery this morning in anticipation of the opening.

Released Sept. 4, 2001, Toxicity debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and helped establish the Los Angeles quartet as a defining force in modern heavy music. Blending explosive metal riffs with unconventional melodies and pointed social commentary, the album spawned enduring hits including “Chop Suey!,” “Toxicity” and “Aerials.” Its impact has continued across generations, cementing the record’s place in rock history.

The exhibition offers fans an opportunity to revisit the album’s era through artifacts and visual installations exploring its cultural legacy. The collaboration also brings System of a Down’s provocative aesthetic into a gallery known for its celebration of graffiti, street art and boundary-pushing contemporary artists.

Formed in Los Angeles, System of a Down consists of vocalist Serj Tankian, guitarist and vocalist Daron Malakian, bassist Shavo Odadjian and drummer John Dolmayan. The band has sold more than 42 million albums worldwide, maintaining a global following through its distinctive sound and politically charged songwriting.

The Toxicity anniversary exhibition runs through Sunday, Oct. 18, 12 – 8 p.m. Tues. – Fri., and 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Sat. and Sun., at Beyond the Streets, 434 N. La Brea Ave. Admission is free, and no tickets are required.
