Crush Club and Robyn: TC Milan of L.A. electro disco house duo Crush Club told us about his Robyn experience.

TC Milan: The best gig I’ve ever experienced was Robyn’s Honey tour at Madison Square Garden. Ordinarily, artists pull out all the stops for a headline show at MSG, but Robyn kept it pretty simple with minimal set design, a small band, and one featured dancer. I appreciated the simplicity; it was all about her performance with no tricks necessary. She sang songs from Honey but also gave us past hits she knew we needed, like a good mother.

Robyn is an icon to me for paving her own way to the career she wanted, always staying true to her authentic pop / dance music style, and remaining available and dedicated to her devoted fans. I used to study videos of her performances so I could emulate the way she connects to audiences while playing. It wasn’t something I could actually learn but hoped nonetheless I’d acquire some of her magic through osmosis. It was thrilling to see her play at the top of her game with all my friends at one of the most iconic venues on Earth.
