If one steps into Cinful Sweets this Easter, prepare to be amazed. Not only will they find signature handcrafted chocolates, but also walk into a wonderland of showstopping chocolate sculptures that make Easter an unforgettable holiday. Owner and chocolatier Cinthya Romriell has turned Easter into an annual spectacle, crafting everything from steampunk eggs to rocket ships out of chocolate. “Easter is my favorite holiday,” she says. “There’s no pressure for big gifts. It’s about having fun and giving something thoughtful from the heart.” This carefree, creative spirit is at the heart of Cinful Sweets’ approach to the holiday season.

For Cinthya, Easter has always been special. Growing up with hardworking immigrant parents, she remembers Easter as a rare moment when the family could slow down and simply enjoy this time together. She fondly remembers dyeing eggs with her mom, decorating them with the then-famous Lisa Frank stickers, and heading to the park for egg hunts with friends. Now, as a mother herself, she’s continued the tradition—just with a twist. “When my kids got older, I started doing midnight Easter egg hunts with flashlights to make it more challenging. It’s all about keeping that joy alive.”
That same sense of wonder and creativity is at the heart of what Cinful Sweets brings to the community. The shop has become a go-to destination for families who want something beyond the usual chocolate bunny. “We’ve become a tradition for a lot of families,” the owner says. “Every year, parents tell me, ‘We have to get the Galaxy Breakable because it’s part of our tradition now.’”

Crushables & Breakables—hollow chocolate sculptures filled with more chocolate, nuts, candy, or cake—are a Cinful Sweets specialty. Each one comes with a tiny hammer, inviting customers to smash their way through to the sweet treasures inside. “There’s something so fun about smashing chocolate on Easter,” Cinthya laughs.

The designs are as imaginative as they come. The Galaxy Egg, with its shimmering cosmic colors, is a fan favorite. Other creations have included an ocean-themed egg adorned with dolphins and a whimsical mushroom egg, always displaying their creativity live.
Beyond its signature Breakables, Cinful Sweets is known for its awe-inspiring large-scale chocolate showpieces, which transform the shop into an Easter attraction. “In our first year, we made a giant steampunk Easter egg,” Romriell recalls. “The next year, we built a chocolate rocket ship. One year, I turned an Easter egg into a helicopter.”
These creations aren’t just for display. They’re a testament to the artistry and passion behind Cinful Sweets. And this year? Cinthya is already dreaming up the next masterpiece. “I recently thought about making a pirate ship made out of an Easter egg,” she teases. “Using that shape, but adding sails—it’s all about taking an idea and making it fun.”
