62-Year-Old Santa Rosa Woman Dead in Dual-Car Collision near Clayton Road 

CONCORD, CA (February 14, 2023) – Sunday morning, a two-vehicle collision along Highway 242 claimed the life of Cassandra Spain.

At approximately 7:36 a.m., the CHP responded to reports of the crash along the southbound lanes of the highway, just south of Clayton Road.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered that a BMW SUV and a Ford sedan had collided. However, the reason behind the collision is still under investigation.

The first responders unfortunately declared the Ford driver deceased at the scene. Subsequently, the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased driver as 62-year-old Cassandra Spain of Santa Rosa.

Meanwhile, the BMW driver stayed at the scene and did not sustain injuries from the incident.
