52-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near 7th Avenue

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 3, 2023) – Friday, a hit-and-run claimed the life of Angelica Lucero Perez when she was struck by a vehicle while walking in a crosswalk at the intersection of Venice Boulevard and 7th Avenue in the Arlington Heights neighborhood around 9:55 p.m.

According to reports, a pedestrian, who was walking northward within the crosswalk, was struck by the driver of a four-door sedan.

Following the collision, the driver fled the scene heading west on Venice Boulevard without stopping to offer assistance or reporting to authorities.

Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Perez was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner officially identified the victim as 52-year-old Perez.

The West Traffic Division of the department is urging anyone with additional information regarding this hit-and-run incident on Venice Boulevard to promptly get in touch with their office.
