Woman Arrested after Hit-and-Run Collision on Tanque Verde

TUCSON, AZ (May 31, 2022) – Wednesday, 22-year-old Amada Fierros was arrested after a hit-and-run bicycle accident on Houghton Road.

Police responded to the scene at the intersection of Houghton and Tanque Verde, on May 18.

Per reports, Fierros struck a cyclist and fled the scene on foot. However, further events leading up to the collision remain unclear.

Due to the impact of the crash, the female bicyclist in her 50s suffered life-threatening injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.

Authorities eventually arrested Amada Fierros for felony hit-and-run and an outstanding arrest warrant.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
