The SMS platform helps businesses manage registration, compliance, and customer communications.
Getting approved to send business text messages is harder than most companies expect. Commercial SMS carries registration and compliance requirements that trip up even experienced teams, and Sendivo, a US-based business SMS platform, exists to get customers through that process and sending. Founded by CEO Thomas Driscoll and CTO Larry Vandenhandel, Sendivo also provides the software companies use to run their SMS communications and campaigns once they are live.
Helping Businesses Through A2P Registration
Businesses use A2P (application-to-person) messaging to send text communications from applications to individual customers. To use this type of SMS communication, businesses must register their campaigns.
According to the company, many Sendivo customers arrive after struggling through the registration process elsewhere with no help. Sendivo’s concierge team walks each customer through registration, step by step, so no one has to decode carrier requirements on their own.
Sendivo reports a near-100% approval rate for campaigns it submits on behalf of its customers.
Managing Compliance and Customer Support
Sendivo also manages 10DLC (10-digit long code) registration, the carrier registration required for business SMS. After Sendivo generates the required sender materials, AI tools check campaigns for compliance issues before submission.
Providing human support is another part of the Sendivo model. When Driscoll was an SMS customer, he often became frustrated with ticket-based systems. That experience shaped Sendivo’s approach, which lets customers work directly with staff.
The Platform They Wished They’d Had
Driscoll has experience founding and scaling sales and marketing agencies. He used SMS platforms heavily and grew frustrated with high costs, poor support, slow approvals, and clunky software.
“I was the customer for years,” Driscoll says. “Every platform I used was expensive, slow to approve campaigns, and impossible to get a human on the phone. We built Sendivo to be the provider I couldn’t find.”
Vandenhandel has a technical background and leads Sendivo’s engineering. Previously, he built and exited multiple B2B software companies.
As Sendivo has grown to over 1,000 users, the company has also developed compliance tools in response to tightening carrier enforcement.
Bringing SMS Tools Into One Platform
Sendivo combines its business messaging tools within one software platform. Customers manage their SMS communications directly through Sendivo using its CRM, conversation inbox, campaign tools, and API.
The CRM stores and manages customer information, the conversation inbox lets employees view and respond to customer text messages, and the campaign tools help businesses create and manage SMS campaigns. An AI auto-responder replies to incoming messages automatically, and AI sentiment analysis reads each inbound reply, classifies the intent — interested, question, complaint, or opt-out — and labels the conversation so teams can prioritize.
According to the company, Sendivo’s wholesale rates are roughly half of the published rates of other major communications platforms.
Sendivo plans to build on its existing AI tools and expand into RCS and other forms of rich messaging. Businesses that want to start sending compliant SMS without the usual delays can learn more at sendivo.io.
