The content creator took to Instagram to share the shocking moment her plane was forced to divert, posting a photo from her window seat showing a gray, rain-drenched view of JFK Airport.

“Was just on one of the scariest flights of my life 😭 Emergency landed at JFK,” Tana wrote in her Instagram Story, shortly after landing safely.

The influencer detailed the harrowing experience in full, saying she was “literally shaking uncontrollably” as the plane circled over Westchester for hours, trying to land through intense turbulence.

Two Hours Of Circling Before The Chaos

According to Tana, the flight had been circling over Westchester Airport for nearly two hours as pilots attempted to find a safe window to land amid worsening weather conditions.

“Our plane was circling Westchester Airport for 2 hours trying to land. They kept telling us we were gonna land soon,” she recalled.

When the descent finally began, turbulence struck hard.

“We start hitting the most insane turbulence I’ve ever experienced — like the entire plane was shaking like crazy,” Tana said.

Sudden Drop And Emergency Climb

What happened next was the most terrifying moment of the flight.

“As we are descending, we can feel us like drop down out of the air a little and then all of a sudden the plane gets super loud and starts revving and we fly back up — the plane like shoots up into the sky,” Tana described.

Moments later, the pilot announced over the intercom that they had been unable to land safely.

After the failed landing attempt, the flight was redirected to JFK Airport to refuel and safely wait out the storm.

“Then the pilot was like, ‘Okay folks, we were unable to land.’ We then had to fly to JFK to refuel,” she said.

While no injuries were reported, passengers were visibly shaken by the ordeal as the East Coast storm continued to disrupt air traffic throughout the weekend.

Storm Causes Travel Chaos Across The East Coast

Tana’s experience came as millions across the East Coast faced delays and disruptions due to a powerful Halloween-week storm.

According to FOX Weather, the system brought heavy rainfall and strong winds to much of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, causing delays at major airports including JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark.

Meteorologists reported that the storm’s low-pressure system was undergoing bombogenesis, a rapid intensification process that can bring severe turbulence and unstable flying conditions.

Despite the frightening experience, Tana and her fellow passengers landed safely at JFK.

The influencer later shared her relief and gratitude for being safely back on the ground after what she called “the scariest moment of my life.”
