Man Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Accident near Yale Boulevard Southeast

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 8, 2024) – One man died Friday night, in a hit-and-run bicycle crash on Woodley Avenue.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m., between Victory and Burbank Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that a man riding a bicycle had been struck by the driver of an unidentified silver-colored vehicle heading southbound. Upon impact, the driver didn’t stop and fled the scene.

The male cyclist, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin. According to investigators, the suspect was last seen driving south on Woodley Avenue.
