Just Like Heaven returned to Brookside at the Rose Bowl on Aug. 22, packing a full day of indie rock and dance into its first August edition. The sixth year of the fest drew a multi-generational crowd with temps reaching into the mid-90s, for sets on the Orion and Stardust stages.
Newer acts including Girl Tones, EKKSTACY and TV Girl shared the bill with veterans such as Feist, The Rapture and Chromeo before LCD Soundsystem and The Strokes closed out the night. A Club Called Rhonda kept the dance floor going between main-stage sets.
Families found space in the kids area featuring marionette performances, and sundries like a vintage market kept festivalgoers flowing.
