Anticipation for Quentin Tarantino’s latest has reached a fever-pitch in L.A. thanks to its star power (Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margo Robbie), its subject matter (the obsession with Charles Manson and his murderous “family” is as enduring as it is eerie and weird), and locales (the director and his crews were seen all over Hollywood last year, filming at numerous landmark spots which were painstakingly transformed to the way they looked in 1969, when the film is set). But Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is an event film that everyone wants to see first and foremost because of the writer-director and his incredible body of work.

The film, which opens in theaters nationwide on July 26, is Tarantino’s ninth, and like some of his previous hits, features multiple storylines and sexy, violent undercurrents. Following television star Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt) as they navigate the changing entertainment industry, it also explores the darkside of showbiz via a colorful cast of characters and ill-fated luminaries (such as Robbie’s Sharon Tate) as the ’60s come to a close.

Anticipating renewed interest in Tarantino’s oeuvre, ArcLight Hollywood is hosting a marathon of his movies over three days starting this Friday.
