Single Review: Ariel Bellvalaire’s latest single, ‘Til The Clock Strikes,’ offers a flawless example of how to make exciting pop-rock music.

Described by fans as “Lady Gaga with a hint of Van Halen,” Ariel Bellvalaire’s music is a delicious blend of early ‘00s pop and in-your-face guitar-shredding rock. ‘Til The Clock Strikes’ is a textbook example of combining it all for a catchy 3-minute hit.

Born in the quiet town of Windsor, Connecticut, Ariel Bellvalaire’s life could be described as anything but ‘quiet.’

The artist and performer, now based in LA, took to music at a young age. She began playing the guitar and taking singing lessons as a youngster, doing so right around the same time she started showing a flair for gymnastics. Initially, she combined these two talents, making her way into the entertainment world as one of the most unique and versatile live performers.

In the last ten years, Ariel has performed on Broadway alongside Tony winners Lena Hall and Robin Dejesus, where she played guitar for the “Dearly Beloved: A Tribute To Prince” show in New York City. She has established herself as a guitar-for-hire for national ad campaigns – including commercials for GMC, KIA, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Beyond that, she has also taken part in several prominent international tours, including performing as a guitarist for Debbie Gibson and the Drag The Musical crew (featuring many of the contestants on Ru Paul’s Drag Race).

Alongside this, Ariel has excelled as an accomplished aerial acrobat, performing in some heavy-hitting Vegas shows. Numerous videos of Ariel combining her acrobatic routines with her guitar playing have gone viral in the past, often featuring instantly iconic clips of her hanging on aerial hoops as she plucks her way through a solo. Her routine, known as “Shrednastics,” was highlighted on ABC’s The Gong Show in August 2018, and her videos continue to gain attention on social media today.

But in recent years, Ariel has renewed her focus on being an original music artist. Since 2020, she has released several singles, including the raw, catchy debut track ‘Elastic’ – a song which felt tailor-made to light up crowds at sweaty, raucous live music venues.

Since the start of 2024, Ariel has been teasing that more music will come in the next few months. Her latest single, ‘Til The Clock Strikes, ‘ is set to be shared on March 22.

‘Til The Clock Strikes’ feels like Ariel laying down the gauntlet for her future music ambitions in the most epic way possible. This is a big, big song, one that will chime with both her long-standing fans and those who haven’t yet encountered her. ‘Til The Clock Strikes’ is molded from the best of ‘00s pop-rock hits (you can hear everything from Avril Lavigne to Kelly Clarkson in there) by Lady Gaga’s dance-pop sound. And, since Ariel is also a virtuoso guitarist, there’s an urgent, dramatic, pulsating guitar solo at the end of the track.

With the catchiness and clarity of this three-minute song, Ariel Bellvalaire has announced her welcome return…
