When wildfires tear through California, the devastation stretches far beyond scorched landscapes. It leaves lasting scars on the communities that must rebuild and on the first responders who put everything on the line. In a year marked by historic wildfire seasons, Major Fitness decided it was time to step up and give back.
In a powerful demonstration of corporate responsibility and community care, Major Fitness recently announced a donation of $8,500 to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, supporting California first responders and others impacted by the devastating wildfires.
The donation marks the first phase of the company’s broader “Rebuilding Together” campaign, an initiative that reflects Major Fitness’s long-standing commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities. From February 17 to March 2, Major Fitness pledged to donate 1 percent of all website sales toward this effort. On April 25, the company fulfilled the first part of that promise.
“At Major Fitness, we believe strength isn’t just built in the gym — it’s shown in how we support our communities. Donating to first responders impacted by the California wildfires was a natural extension of our values. These are the individuals who show up for us every day, and we’re honored to give back in a meaningful way,” Francisco Wong, CEO of Major Fitness, remarked.
Helping Those Who Help First
California’s wildfire season this year has brought exhausting battles for thousands of firefighters and emergency personnel across the state. Towns were evacuated. Homes were lost. Communities were forever changed.
First responders raced into burning neighborhoods to evacuate families, protect wildlife, and defend critical infrastructure. They worked long hours under dangerous conditions, often resting briefly before returning to the front lines.
For Major Fitness, these acts of courage resonated deeply. Company leaders and team members visited the Firehouse Subs Hackensack Commons location in New Jersey to personally present the donation and engage with the Foundation’s leadership, gaining a deeper understanding of the urgent needs facing first responders.
Building a Stronger Community
Major Fitness has built a reputation around helping people get stronger at home, with durable and space-efficient gym equipment designed for suburban garages, home studios, and shared family spaces. The company’s leadership believes that true strength, however, extends beyond the gym walls.
The “Rebuilding Together” campaign is not limited to a one-time donation. Recognizing that recovery takes time, Major Fitness announced plans for a second donation to be made directly in California this May, continuing its commitment to frontline heroes affected by wildfires.
In addition to financial support, Major Fitness is donating 10 sets of its Pro Series All-in-One Gym systems to injured firefighters to assist in their physical rehabilitation. Designed for comprehensive strength training and recovery, these systems will provide vital resources for first responders working to regain their physical health after injury.
A Broader Mission of Service
The recent support for California first responders comes at a pivotal time for Major Fitness. While preparing for the launch of its C5 strength machine and plans for international expansion, the company chose to start this next phase of growth by reinforcing its community-first mission.
Executives at Major Fitness believe that building trust with customers begins by demonstrating values through action, not just words. That philosophy underpins the company’s decision to integrate community support into its growth strategy.
Research across the fitness and wellness industries continues to show that consumers increasingly align themselves with brands that act with authenticity and social responsibility. Major Fitness sees its recent initiatives as an extension of the core principles on which it was founded: principles of strength, resilience, and compassion.
Since its inception, Major Fitness has encouraged individuals to live stronger, healthier lives both inside and outside the gym. The “Rebuilding Together” campaign brings that philosophy full circle, showing that when strength is shared, communities grow stronger.
