Lyndsey Parker’s excellent book Permanent Damage: Memoirs of an Outrageous Girl, written with and about GTO Miss Mercy Fontenot, is receiving heaps of well-deserved praise and attention. Read all about it here, and then read the damn book!

There’s also an excellent panel available to view online that features Parker speaking to our own Lina Lecaro alongside Alice Cooper, Pamela Des Barres, and Starcrawler singer Arrow de Wilde. See that too, here.

On Thursday, there’s an in-person event at Stories Books and Cafe, that will see Parker and Des Barres engage in a Q&A, PLUS a live set from Starcrawler and a DJ set by Miles Tackett.

We mean, c’mon! What more do you want? Great reads and great music, in an open and largely vaccinated California. Sweet relief!

The event takes place from 7 p.m. PT on Thursday, June 17 at Stories Books and Cafe.
