The water used in Jaxx is sourced from Palomar Mountain, an award-winning natural spring in San Diego County, California. The company’s choice of aluminum bottles, rather than plastic, reflects a dual commitment to pet wellness and environmental sustainability. Aluminum, Barron notes, is not only better for the environment but also safer for dogs, who may be at risk of ingesting harmful chemicals from plastic containers.

Creating a business around a niche product like spring water for dogs wasn’t without its challenges. Tiana, who has a diverse background in the arts, business, and philanthropy, faced numerous hurdles, from logistical challenges to personal transitions. Yet, her resilience and determination paid off. “It’s been a journey, but I believe everything happens in your journey when it’s supposed to,” she reflects.
Despite the challenges, Jaxx has already garnered attention for the quality of its product. The water used in the product took fifth place in the world at the prestigious Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting competition, a testament to its purity and taste. “I didn’t even realize how prestigious the award was until I did more research,” Tiana says. “Now, even my own dog, who never used to like drinking water, enjoys it. It’s not just good for them – it’s delicious.”
What sets Jaxx Fontaine D’ Eau apart is not just its commitment to health but also to giving back. A percentage of each spring water can sold goes to – “Unconditional” Rescue Laguna Beach – which specializes in senior and handicapped dogs. “These are the most vulnerable dogs, the ones hardest to find families for,” Tiana explains. “Supporting them was a natural choice for us.”
This philanthropic focus is a reflection of the founder’s broader mission: to create a better world where everyone respects each other and cares for the most vulnerable among living beings – animals included. It’s a mission that’s as personal as it is professional, inspired by the memory of her beloved dog Jaxx’s best friend, Oliver Giovanni Burleigh of Scotland, who passed away this year. The company itself is named in part after her current dog, Jaxx, a rescued beagle from Hurricane Harvey.
While Jaxx Fontaine D’ Eau is still in its early stages, Tiana has ambitious plans for the future. She envisions expanding the product line to include water tailored to specific breeds, infused with nutrients that address their unique genetic weaknesses. “Just like people, dogs have different health issues. I’d like to really get into the health aspect and offer something that benefits each and every dog,” she says.
To achieve this vision, Tiana is open to partnerships and investment. “It’s about health, not just profit,” she insists. “But to make this vision a reality on a larger scale, we’ll need support. We’re looking for like-minded partners who share our commitment to pet health and well-being.”
