Inside Ulike’s Glow State of Mind: A Wellness Afternoon That Felt Nothing Like a Brand Event

The beauty-tech label brought movement and mindfulness to Santa Monica’s The Class yoga studio.

On a Saturday afternoon in late April, about a block from the Santa Monica shore, something rare happened inside The Class yoga studio on Main Street. For three hours, guests moved, breathed, and — somewhere between a sun salutation and a sound bath — largely forgot they were at a brand-hosted experience at all.

Ulike, the beauty-tech company known for bringing clinical-grade IPL hair removal devices into the home, hosted Glow State of Mind on April 25, an intimate wellness event that marked the brand’s first step into experiential programming. The event was co-produced with The Class, the premium movement studio that has become one of the more serious wellness destinations on the Westside.

The afternoon unfolded in three movements. It opened with a slowed-down mindfulness and presence session, before transitioning into a full yoga class led by instructor Jaycee Gossett, whose training spans dance, breathwork, energy work, and somatic movement. The session was designed to be fluid and high-energy, the kind of practice that pulls one fully into the present and makes it difficult to think about anything outside the room.

Following the class came a cool-down phase: low-intensity restorative postures designed to bring participants back down gradually. After that, guests moved into a dedicated lounge where Ulike’s Air 10 IPL device and ReGlow LED facial mask were available for hands-on exploration. There was no hard sell or countdown clock; just the products and a few knowledgeable people on hand.

The event drew wellness influencers, yoga enthusiasts, and women who take their self-care routines seriously. The venue itself did a lot of the atmospheric work. The Class is the kind of space that earns its premium positioning with lighting and material choices that makes people feel like they should probably breathe more carefully.

Leona Liu, General Manager at Ulike, described the experience as intentional rather than incidental. Glow State of Mind, she noted, marks Ulike’s step into the wellness space and is designed as the first in an ongoing series, bringing restorative and community-centered experiences to women across the country’s most vibrant cities.

The same afternoon, a parallel event took place in New York at SENSE+ Skincare and Wellness, offering a different format but the same spirit. Between the two coasts, the message was consistent: Ulike is thinking beyond the device.

Whether that translates into something larger remains to be seen. But as brand afternoons go, this one left its guests with something genuinely useful: real movement, a few minutes of stillness, and the kind of confidence that follows both.
