Presented in partnership with Fallout publisher Bethesda Softworks and developer Bethesda Game Studios, the National Atomic Testing Museum announced its newest exhibit, “World of Fallout,” is now open.
Pegged to season two of the hit series, which debuts on Wednesday, Dec. 17, on Amazon Prime Video, the installation is a collection of objects associated with the game and the show. A compact yet powerful display illustrates the connections between real-world nuclear history and the imaginative storytelling of the video game’s universe.
First introduced in 1997, the franchise’s lore includes its famed Vaults, Vault Boy mascot, and depiction of a post-apocalyptic Wasteland, which has left a lasting imprint on pop culture.
Through carefully selected objects and interpretive displays, the new exhibit bridges fact and fiction. Highlights include screen-worn Vault suits and memorabilia alongside graphic panels that explore the recurring elements of the Fallout franchise, along with key Cold War themes.
